August 2012 – Notices and Date Changes

SENIOR INTERCLUB TEAM ‘GET TOGETHER ‘AND PRACTISE DAY

The date for the above event is now SATURDAY 28^TH AUGUST 12PM

(Instead of the 21^st ) Fortunately, Senior Interclub starts a week later this year on the 11^th September so we have a few more weeks in hand to prepare.

If you have registered to play Senior Weekend Interclub then this event is for you to attend, meet your team, have a coaching session and a few games together. Please all bring a plate and stay for as little or as long as you like. It is a fun event to build team spirit. See you there!

ADULT BEGINNER / REFRESHER COURSES

Commence on Monday 16^th August- 6:15 pm and Fri 13^th- 9am (11/2 hour lessons)

They are designed for beginner and intermediate level players and will cover technique, strategy, cardio tennis and matchplay. They are a cost effective way to get your tennis improving at the start of the season.

Cost $120 for 5 weeks. Non members and friends welcome.

PRO SHOP

The little Pro Shop is under going a revamp and as of 14^th August will be stocked with all your tennis needs from rackets, balls, grips, strings, shoes and other specialist items. Any item that you need we will have or can get from Scarbro Tennis Pro Shop and save you the trip. WILSON Demo rackets will be readily available to trial and on sale. Come and see us and we will custom fit you with a racket to suit your game.

Racket stringing on an electronic stringer is now available. This is a good time of year to change your strings before the season starts.

NIGHT TEAM COMPETITION

This will start on Tuesday 7^th September 7:30pm to 9pm for 3 weeks before the school hols and then 3 weeks after the school hols. The entry list is on the upstairs notice board. Entry is $30 per person/ $20 for students.

Snacks provided and drinks available to buy after each week. Limited to 30 players so get your name down soon.

JUNIOR ENROLMENT DAY- Sat 14^th Aug 1pm -3pm Don’t forget. 

MIDWEEK LADIES OPEN DAY –Thurs 26^th Aug 9am. All welcome.
